The Ridgefield Chorale
The Ridgefield Chorale redesign includes a button-style navigation bar, PhotoShop cutouts of chorale members and their director, and a graphic of Handel's Messiah. A six-image slideshow introduces the homepage content, with supplementary news and affiliation boxes appearing in the right-hand column. Colors from their existing logo were used in design elements throughout the site.
Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra
The Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra site includes images on most pages with a series of separate galleries to further personalize their web presence. The symphony's young musicians are showcased in an automated slideshow on the homepage. A horizontal navigation bar features rollover effects and is organically incorporated into the header image. This site makes great use of downloadable documents for both sheet music and flyer type information.
Knitting Off Road
Knitting Off Road is a blog-style site which presents conversational information on its homepage. This is primarily a "learn to knit" web resource, however, with tons of knitting-related information accessible in both the horizontal navigation bar and the link-intensive sidebar. This site includes links to Amazon products in the content area and subject-specific advertising in the lower part of the right-hand column. A blog-style design is appropriate for small businesses wishing to make fresh, more personal updates.
RHS Cross Country
The Ridgefield High School Indoor Track website features a flexible width design that shrinks or expands to fit the user's browser window. This site was designed entirely in team colors and includes an extensive gallery of individual and team photos to further personalize the design. A "visitor" counter is also included at the bottom of the homepage.
